Speech and Feeding Therapist
Ashley is a licensed speech and feeding therapist who has years of experience working in the autism community, first as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She utilizes the skills and techniques she learned in the behavioral health field to enhance her approach to speech and feeding therapy. Through providing support for clients struggling with behavior management, sensory awareness, and emotional regulation, Ashley is able to increase her clients’ willingness to participate in speech and feeding therapy as well as their compliance with the treatment plan. Ashley earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from Eastern New Mexico University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Acupuncture from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. Her expertise and unwavering commitment to a whole-person approach leave her clients feeling as though they are receiving the best possible care.

Speech-Language Pathologist
Myofunctional TherapistJoy has 18 years experience as a speech language pathologist in a variety of settings: schools, clinics, homes. Joy loves using play to strengthen communication skills. She likes to teach clients to apply their speech language skills to practical, everyday experiences. She has advanced training with AAC communication devices, myofunctional disorders, feeding, apraxia, and language processing. Joy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science and her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Arizona State University. She recently earned certification in orofacial myology from the IAOM.

Operations and Administrative Management
Heather has more than 20 years experience in healthcare. Her vision for Simply Rooted Speech & Wellness has been formed by both her professional experience as an administrator and her personal experience as the mother of a neurodivergent child. During her career as an administrator, she has developed a deep understanding of what it takes to provide clients with easy-to-access, honest and reliable care. She is a mom of two boys, ages 13 and 16, who in caring for her youngest son, has gained tremendous empathy for those suffering from anxiety, depression, ADHD and other mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders. Heather is passionate about creating a space for others to learn how to improve their health apart from modern-day conventional approaches that so often leave people feeling discouraged & unwell.
